A Family Legacy

Founded in 1967, James Surveying Company remains a proud family-owned business operated to the highest professional standards of the surveying industry. In the early days, James “The Whiz” Wurm ran the business from the basement of the family home, doing field work during the day and drafting at night. Those humble beginnings have enabled several generations to grow and expand the business while maintaining roots in the deep traditions of surveying. Over the past half-century, we have collected a wealth of records and experience that enable us to conduct thorough and historically-grounded surveys. That foundation supports every survey we stake our reputation on, as there is seldom a subdivision or city block we haven’t worked in within the greater St. Louis metropolitan area.
